Overlook Volunteers Shrub Plant-a-thon 7/18/26 and 7/19/26 9AM
Please join your fellow neighbors to help plant our second batch of shrubs for 2026. This time we have 13 shrubs to plant at three buildings. These shrubs will replace the diseased viburnum hedges which are consumed yearly by the viburnum leaf beetle.
All new shrubs are native Wisconsin species. We will plant sun-loving shrubs at Bldg 32 and 24, and a shade-loving shrub at Bldg 44.
Jobs include digging holes for the new plants, loosening the roots of each before planting, loading soil, and planting the shrub. For this planting we are going to start with no fencing around the shrubs. Should we observe deer nibblers, we will make fencing later on.
