Parking Guide for Woodbridge Drive

The purpose of this memo is to clarify parking guidelines for owners and guests on Woodbridge Drive. Woodbridge Drive is privately owned and maintained by the Overlook Lakes Condominium Association (OLCA) and was not built to “city street” standards. Woodbridge is patrolled by Greendale PD. Unfortunately, Woodbridge is a well-known “shortcut” for many non-OLCA residents, some that do not adhere to the 20-mph speed-limit. Many OLCA owners have reported seeing cars traveling in excess of 40 mph. Woodbridge is also very popular with walkers, both residents and non-residents. The policies in place for Woodbridge have Safety First as the primary consideration.

Woodbridge is posted NO PARKING on both ends of the street. The speed limit is 20 mph. The only time(s) parking is allowed on Woodbridge is during periods of construction, and during a Holiday period, and then only on the ODD address side of the street. The start and end times of these periods will be determined by the Board and communicated to owners via email.

Owners are required to park in their Unit Limited Common Area, which essentially is either inside their garage or directly in front of their garage. Owners should never park in a manner that interferes with another owners’ ability to enter or exit their driveway, or use of the area in front of their garage. Further details on the Rules and Regulations related to parking can be found in the Declaration of Condominium, Articles 10.5 & 10.6.

Guests are to park in designated guest parking spots or directly in front of the garage of the owner they are visiting. There are currently (18) guest parking spots available on driveways adjacent to the following Woodbridge condo driveways. Most of these are very easy to spot from the street. Guest parking spots are open to all guests, not just guests for that particular building. All guest parking is open to visitors on a first come basis and cannot be reserved. During evening hours, guests may also park at the office (8601 Westlake).

Two additional guest parking spots are planned to be added in front of building 25 (8909-8915 Woodbridge) when that driveway is replaced later this year. There are no further plans to add guest parking on Woodbridge. Guest parking spots will be striped in 2022 to help identify them as guest parking.
